In 2021, we held a modest Bungay Pride picnic on the Castle Bailey. Having postponed it once due to Covid restrictions, we expected perhaps 30-40 people… instead 200 people enjoyed a fabulous afternoon of socially distanced, outdoor fun! Sustainable Bungay continues to support Bungay Pride, which now has its own independent committee organising events on the Castle Bailey and at the Fisher Theatre. You can follow Bungay Pride to find out more about this year’s event on your favourite social media platform… they’re across them all!

Over the years, Sustainable Bungay have come together to support important local and global community issues, from the campaign to save our wonderful Bungay Library, to a full coach down to The Wave, a huge climate change march in London in 2009. We even had our own climate march through Bungay. Film showings at the Fisher Theatre and in community centres helped us to become more aware of local and global issues, and we continue to support local events and guest speakers on sustainability, environment and local issues.
